Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in environmental assessment, comply with regulatory frameworks, and contribute to sustainable projects that positively impact the community and environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental impact assessments for various projects.
• Implement strategies to promote sustainability within the firm and for clients.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to raise awareness about environmental issues.
• Provide technical guidance on ecological restoration projects.
• Conduct training sessions on environmental best practices for staff and clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consultancy or project management

Technical Skills

• Project Management
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Planner (CEP)
• Sustainable Development Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Field experience in environmental assessments: Practical experience conducting field assessments and data collection.
