Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting with surgical procedures, performing diagnostic tests, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor animals recovering from anesthesia.
• Assist in surgical procedures and manage pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Conduct preventive health care consultations with pet owners.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
• Support veterinarians in daily tasks and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology
• Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science is an advantage.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role

Certifications

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
• CPR for Animals Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Emergency Care: Ability to perform under pressure in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of Veterinary Software Systems: Familiarity with veterinary practice management software.
