We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to our users, resolving software and hardware issues, and ensuring that IT systems run smoothly. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT inventory and assist with equipment procurement.
• Identify and escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends.
• Support remote workers by troubleshooting hardware and software challenges.
• Develop and maintain a secure computing environment.
• Participate in IT projects and contribute to team efforts.
• Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology or related field
• Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) are advantageous

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a technical support role
