Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our dedicated team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds. You'll be responsible for providing grooming services, including bathing, clipping, and styling pets to meet owner expectations.

Responsibilities

• Execute grooming tasks such as bathing, ear cleaning, and styling.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of all pets during grooming sessions.
• Educate pet owners on pet care between grooming visits.
• Keep grooming tools sterilized and well-maintained.
• Handle aggressive or anxious pets with appropriate techniques.
• Deliver high levels of customer service in all interactions.
• Continuously improve grooming skills through workshops and training.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in grooming pets

Technical Skills

• Grooming Tools Proficiency
• Health and Safety Compliance

Certifications

• Advanced Pet Grooming Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First Aid Certification for Pets: Certification in pet first aid and CPR.
• Experience with mobile grooming: Experience in providing grooming services in a mobile unit.
