We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community and Social Service Specialist to join our healthcare team in Johannesburg. Your role will be to provide exceptional patient care, focusing on health and wellness education, alongside emotional support for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments as outlined in care plans.
• Evaluate patient needs and adapt care plans accordingly.
• Offer counseling and support to patients and families.
• Implement health and wellness education initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Participate in team meetings to enhance care quality.
• Document patient care activities and outcomes methodically.
• Continuously seek opportunities for personal professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Nursing degree or diploma
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in acute care or community-based care settings

Technical Skills

• Health education
• Emergency care

Soft Skills

Certifications

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent
