Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a range of mental health issues. Candidates should have a strong foundation in psychological theories and practices, and be committed to improving the lives of clients in our community.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client mental health through thorough assessments.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Create support systems for clients and their families.
• Provide resources and referrals to additional services.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical practices in all interactions.
• Advocate for mental health awareness in the community.

Requirements

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in a clinical setting with diverse populations

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Group Therapy Facilitation

Soft Skills

• Crisis Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Trauma-Informed Care Certification
• DBT Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual abilities: Fluency in multiple languages is an asset.
• Experience with teletherapy: Familiarity with providing therapy through online platforms.
