Operating Engineer and Grader Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Engineer and Grader Operator to maintain and operate heavy machinery at our landfill sites. The ideal candidate should be familiar with environmental regulations and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operations of landfill graders to ensure effective waste management.
• Perform daily maintenance on grading equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and control site operations according to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance operational efficiency.
• Document operational activities and equipment performance.
• Report on environmental compliance and safety adherence.
• Assist with the training of new team members on equipment operations.
• Support expansion initiatives by providing grading expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical training in heavy equipment operation is preferred

Experience

• 3 years' of experience in operating graders or similar heavy machinery.

Technical Skills

• Heavy Machinery Operation
• Environmental Compliance Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Valid Driver's License with PDP
• Operator's License for Grader

Languages

• English: Fluent
