Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense medications and verify dosages and formulations.
  • Provide clear and precise information about medications to patients.
  • Oversee pharmacy staff and ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceuticals and health trends.
  • Advise on the safe and effective use of over-the-counter medications.
  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Review patient medication profiles for potential interactions.
  • Assist in training new pharmacy team members.
  • Maintain an organized and compliant pharmacy workspace.
  • Engage with patients through outreach programs for better health awareness.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pharmacist in a retail or hospital setting
