Job Description

As a Commercial Drone Operator, you'll be vital in leveraging cutting-edge drone technology to gather high-quality aerial data across various sectors. Your focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of drones while producing detailed reports and visuals that inform key business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage drone operations to produce accurate aerial surveys.
• Perform maintenance checks to ensure drones are in optimal condition.
• Comply with local and national aviation regulations.
• Leverage UAV software for data processing and mapping.
• Draft project proposals based on client specifications.
• Engage with clients to present findings and offer solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance drone operation skills.
• Document all flight operations and maintenance work.
• Lead discussions about new technologies and methodologies in drone operation.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, aviation, or a related field

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in drone operations

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of aerodynamics and flight principles

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Good time management skills

Certifications

• Current Remote Pilot License (RPL)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with LiDAR technology: Hands-on experience in using LiDAR for surveying and mapping applications.
• Experience with surveying and mapping: Knowledge of best practices in aerial surveying and land mapping.
