We are on the lookout for a passionate Structural Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will design, analyze, and oversee the construction of structures such as buildings and bridges. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently, utilizing modern techniques and materials.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft structural blueprints for various projects.
• Conduct structural analyses to determine the integrity and safety of designs.
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects throughout the design process.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Oversee construction projects to confirm quality control.
• Prepare reports and proposals for management review.
• Identify potential structural problems and recommend solutions.
• Utilize state-of-the-art structural design software.
• Participate in site inspections to assess progress and quality.
• Monitor the performance of structures following completion.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
