Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Environmental Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will engage in various projects, providing expertise in environmental assessments, compliance, and sustainability practices. Your role will involve conducting field assessments, preparing reports, and collaborating with clients to implement effective environmental solutions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor compliance with environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement environmental management systems for clients.
• Coordinate with local authorities and environmental agencies.
• Facilitate workshops and educational sessions for clients and stakeholders.
• Analyze data to inform sustainable decision-making.
• Contribute to the development of company-wide sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting

Technical Skills

• EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment)
• Project Management

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Professional Environmental Auditor
• Sustainable Resource Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of climate change mitigation strategies: Familiarity with methods and strategies to address climate change impacts.
• Fluency in additional languages: Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
