Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing infrastructure projects to enhance public facilities and services. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects, ensuring all deadlines and budgets are met.
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Coordinate with local authorities for necessary permits and approvals.
• Develop sustainable engineering solutions that consider environmental impact.
• Utilize CAD software for design and plans.
• Analyze survey reports and environmental impact assessments.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding project updates and milestones.
• Implement best practices for project safety and risk management.
• Facilitate team meetings to discuss project goals and progress.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering
