Job Description

We are seeking a competent Assembly Line Manager to oversee our production line in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in managing assembly processes and will ensure that production targets are met with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that assembly line operations run smoothly and efficiently by analysing workflow and performance data.
  • Establish training programmes for new employees to ensure understanding of assembly procedures.
  • Manage scheduling and work assignments for assembly line staff to optimise productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering to address technical issues affecting production.
  • Review and assess equipment maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Promote team engagement and teamwork to improve overall morale on the assembly line.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assembly line equipment and processes for compliance.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred
  • Certification in Project Management is advantageous
