Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Tshwane. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing structural frameworks for a variety of projects. You will work closely with architects and construction teams to ensure all designs meet safety and integrity standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process of new structural projects.
• Evaluate and approve construction methods and materials.
• Coordinate with local authorities for project approvals.
• Train and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with complex structural projects

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Civil Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent
