Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in our products.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze chemical manufacturing processes for improvement.
  • Work closely with the safety team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain operation manuals and process documentation.
  • Conduct training on new processes for operational staff.
  • Engage in cross-functional project teams for product development.
  • Communicate research findings and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in budget preparation for engineering projects.
  • Coordinate pilot testing of new chemical processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical engineering or manufacturing
