Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant and System Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant and System Operator to ensure efficient operations of our water supply systems. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment plants, monitoring water quality, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility, monitoring equipment and systems.
• Perform routine checks on pumps, valves, and other associated equipment.
• Collect, analyze, and test water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Document all maintenance and operational activities, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Educate team members on the proper operation of treatment equipment and safety procedures.
• Engage in emergency response planning and regular drills to prepare for unexpected incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Completed accredited training in pumping systems or similar

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in operating and maintaining water treatment systems.

Advantageous
