Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, examining the patient’s health problems and medical history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients.
• Educate patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Document patient encounters and update medical records promptly.
• Address patient inquiries regarding their health and treatment options.
• Lead patient education seminars and workshops when possible.
• Assist in some administrative duties related to the healthcare services.
• Be an advocate for patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• New registrants must be HPCSA-registered.

Experience

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting is a plus
