Job Description

The Power Plant Inspector is critical in ensuring optimal efficiency and safety within our facilities. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of equipment and systems while maintaining high standards of compliance and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for power plant equipment.
  • Actively monitor and report on all safety compliance issues.
  • Lead technical training for plant staff on inspection protocols.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams on equipment upgrades.
  • Initiate and participate in safety audits and drills.
  • Maintain inventory records for replacement equipment and tools.
  • Assist with environmental assessments related to plant operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) registration preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the power generation industry
