Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Petroleum Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating oil and gas reservoirs, designing extraction processes, and ensuring optimal production while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. You will play a vital role in the entire lifecycle of our projects, from exploration through to production.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reservoir simulations and modeling to predict output.
• Collaborate with teams to design new wells and optimize drilling plans.
• Implement statistical and analytical tools to enhance data interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
• Participate in technical meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Actively contribute to safety audits and risk assessments.
• Document technical processes and ensure proper knowledge transfer.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in oil and gas exploration engineering
