Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Biostatistician to join our research team in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of statistical methods, paired with experience in medical research contexts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analyses using appropriate statistical software (e.g., R, SAS).
• Assist in the drafting of scientific papers for publication.
• Mentor junior statisticians or interns in statistical methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in research practices.
• Enhance statistical methodologies based on ongoing research needs.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and data-related challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics or related field

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in statistical analysis or related area

• Python

Certifications

• Certified Biostatistician (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent
