Job Description

As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fostering relationships within the community, promoting our programs, and connecting with individuals and organizations to improve social services. Your efforts will directly contribute to community development and empowerment initiatives, helping to create lasting change.

Responsibilities

• Lead community engagement initiatives, fostering active participation.
• Work alongside the director to strategize long-term outreach goals.
• Assist in building partnerships with other organizations for collaborative efforts.
• Monitor and report on the progress of outreach initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of community integration programs.
• Engage in fundraising activities in support of outreach efforts.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders to encourage support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
• Additional training in community development is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in community outreach or similar roles

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with social media marketing: Proficient in using social media platforms to engage and inform the community.
