Job Description

We are seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating credit risk within our client portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of corporate finance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit applications and provide recommendations for approval or denial.
• Perform regular reviews of credit policies and recommend improvements.
• Utilize statistical methods to predict and measure credit risk.
• Assess client's repayment capabilities through quantitative analysis.
• Engage with clients to gather relevant financial information.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to address credit risk issues.
• Identify trends in credit risk data and suggest preventative measures.
• Prepare presentations for stakeholder meetings regarding risk status updates.
• Document and communicate risk assessment processes for internal audits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in risk management or credit analysis

Technical Skills

• Statistical Software (SAS, R)
• Financial Modelling

Certifications

• Credit Risk Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
