Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist who can accurately transcribe medical dictations. This role requires a solid understanding of medical terminology and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Convert diverse audio recordings to written formats efficiently.
• Check and edit transcriptions for grammatical accuracy.
• Ensure all documents meet strict confidentiality requirements.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify understanding of recordings.
• Provide constructive feedback on transcription tools and processes.
• Manage audio files and maintain organized records.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements.
• Enhance knowledge of medical jargon and terminologies.
• Assist in maintaining transcription software and tools.
• Demonstrate initiative and professionalism in the transcription role.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Diploma in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in transcription or related field
