Responsibilities

• Assess risk factors associated with insurance applications for various products.
• Work closely with clients to gather information necessary for underwriting.
• Determine appropriate coverage terms and conditions based on risk assessments.
• Analyze market trends and adjust underwriting guidelines accordingly.
• Facilitate the claims process by providing necessary underwriting information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Liaise with actuaries to refine and improve risk assessment models.
• Create and present reports to management on underwriting performance metrics.
• Engage in networking opportunities to enhance the company’s profile in the industry.
• Review and approve policy endorsements, inclusions, and exclusions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience as an underwriter

Certifications

• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI)

Languages

• English: Fluent
