Job Description

As a Bookkeeper in Johannesburg, you will be at the core of our financial operations. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records as well as process accounts payable and receivable. Join us in enhancing our financial practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare documentation for tax filing.
  • Collaborate with auditors for annual financial audits.
  • Provide financial data to management for decision-making.
  • Manage and track budgets and expenditures.
  • Implement and maintain bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Assist in developing financial forecasts and budgets.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Relevant bookkeeping qualification (e.g., SAIBA, SAIPA) is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Technical Skills
  • Bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
  • Excel

Certifications
  • Certified Bookkeeper
  • Tax Practitioner Registration (if applicable)
