Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Nurse to support our mission of excellent patient care in Cape Town. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discharge planning for patients.
• Support chronic disease management and prevention initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development.
• Perform wound care and management as required.
• Assist with the administration of intravenous therapy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support.
• Collaborate on research initiatives as applicable.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Additional certification in a nursing specialty is beneficial

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience

Technical Skills

• Patient Assessment
• Emergency Response

• Problem-solving
• Leadership

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Certification in trauma nursing: Preferred certification in trauma care nursing.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
