Job Description

As a General Practitioner, you will provide primary care services, conducting physical exams, interpreting lab results, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results.
• Provide health education and preventative care strategies to patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for interdisciplinary care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development.
• Ensure adherence to medical protocols and standards.
• Manage patient follow-ups and referrals to specialists when necessary.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Registered with the HPCSA

Experience

• Proven experience in a general practice setting of at least 3 years.

• Specialisation in Pediatrics or Geriatrics: Preferably hold a specialization in either Pediatrics or Geriatrics.
