Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Johannesburg office. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring our systems for security breaches, managing security tools, and implementing measures to enhance our security posture. The ideal candidate will have experience with security frameworks and a solid grasp of IT security principles.

Responsibilities

• Assess and continually improve security policies.
• Work closely with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
• Execute penetration tests to find potential security threats.
• Manage and configure firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory security mandates.
• Coordinate with tech teams to update and patch systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance or related field
• Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM) preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years in a cybersecurity role or related position
