Job Description

As a Public Health Officer in Durban, you will be responsible for evaluating health needs within the community and developing strategies to address these concerns. Your work will involve education, advocacy, and collaboration with various health services to enhance health awareness and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement public health programs that address community needs.
  • Conduct health assessments and surveys to identify public health issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to improve health services.
  • Educate the public on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
  • Analyze health data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform policy decisions.
  • Advocate for resources and support for public health initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in public health or health promotion roles
