Join our team as a Pet Groomer in Cape Town. You will be responsible for providing quality grooming services, ensuring all pets look their best, and maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Ideal candidates have a passion for animals and experience in pet grooming.

Responsibilities

• Groom various breeds of dogs and cats to meet customer expectations.
• Use proper tools and techniques for pet grooming safely.
• Ensure pets feel comfortable and stress-free during their grooming appointments.
• Advise pet owners on proper grooming maintenance for their pets.
• Assist with the reception and scheduling of appointments.
• Maintain grooming equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Report any issues or concerns regarding pets to the management team.
• Participate in promotional events and community outreach.
• Help foster a positive team environment and assist colleagues as needed.
• Keep up with industry trends regarding pet grooming and health.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Grooming certification or equivalent experience

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in pet grooming or animal care

Technical Skills

• Pet First Aid
• Styling Skills

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Empathy

Certifications

• Grooming Certification from a recognized institute

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with pet health issues: Knowledgeable in common health issues in pets to provide guidance during grooming.
• Ability to give recommendations for pet products: Experience in advising customers on appropriate pet grooming products.
