Job Description

As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and educational growth of students. You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and collaborate with teachers and parents to develop strategies for supporting students facing challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess students' mental health needs through standardized tests.
  • Design and execute intervention plans tailored to students' unique challenges.
  • Work with school administration to promote mental well-being initiatives.
  • Lead workshops for teachers on mental health awareness and student support.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations based on assessment results to parents and staff.
  • Foster relationships with community resources to aid students in need.
  • Encourage student engagement through various programs and activities.
  • Document and report any significant behavioral changes in students to relevant authorities.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field
  • Licensure as a Psychologist in South Africa is required.
Experience
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings.
