Stockroom Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Stockroom Manager to oversee our stockroom activities in Cape Town. The successful candidate will manage inventory, supervise staff, and ensure the timely handling of goods within the stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of stock in and out of the stockroom.
• Ensure all goods are properly labelled and stored securely.
• Handle inventory discrepancies and report issues to management.
• Participate in the development of stockroom policies and procedures.
• Conduct performance reviews for stockroom staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for stockroom operations.
• Drive initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce stockholding costs.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Stock Control Systems
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Communication

Certifications

• Certified Warehouse Logistics Technician (CWLT)
• Forklift Operator Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift Experience: Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
• Experience in Team Building: Proven track record in building and sustaining motivated teams.
