Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. This role will focus on developing sustainable environmental solutions and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations. You will collaborate with a team of experts to conduct environmental assessments, manage projects, and provide innovative strategies to improve environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for waste reduction and resource conservation.
• Liaise with community stakeholders on environmental issues.
• Assess and report on environmental risks associated with projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
• Provide recommendations for improving environmental sustainability.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related discipline
• Higher education or certifications in Environmental Management is beneficial

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in environmental project work

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
