Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our clients' information systems, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective security measures.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed security reports for senior management and clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
• Participate in the development of security architecture.
• Advise on data protection and privacy regulations.
• Research emerging threats and develop strategies to counter them.
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and partners.
• Assist in the creation of security-related documentation and policies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field
• Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH) preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or related roles

Technical Skills

• Forensic Analysis
• Penetration Testing

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001): Familiarity with various cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience in threat hunting: Knowledge in identifying potential threats proactively.
