Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architecture. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies, along with the initiative to introduce new data management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize data pipelines for data retrieval and processing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for data needs.
• Audit and enhance data quality and governance protocols.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of data architectures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance and data integrity issues.
• Assist in crafting documentation for data platforms and solutions.
• Regularly evaluate the performance of data systems and propose improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Data Science or a related discipline

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
