Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architecture. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies, along with the initiative to introduce new data management solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing large data sets.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to address analytics requirements.
• Implement ETL processes and ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Manage data storage and processing solutions in cloud environments.
• Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues and bottlenecks.
• Create self-service data tools for stakeholders across the organization.
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.
• Evaluate new data technologies and tools to enhance data management.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Data Science or a related discipline

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
