Environmental Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable practices, and will be responsible for conducting assessments, report writing, and providing expert advice to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate environmental impact assessments for various projects.
• Draft compliance and monitoring reports for clients.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations to gather input on environmental matters.
• Advise on waste management and pollution control measures.
• Support clients in achieving ISO environmental certification.
• Participate in public hearings and community outreach initiatives.
• Monitor relevant environmental policies and legislation.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental regulation compliance

• Ecological Assessment

Certifications

• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
• REI Certified Environmental Consultant

Languages

• English: Fluent
