Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement electrical systems and solutions for various projects, ensuring high-quality and innovative outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement design solutions for electrical systems in renewable energy projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
• Perform site assessments and inspections to validate electrical system installations.
• Identify technical risks and propose mitigations during project planning stages.
• Assist in the preparation of project bids, including scope of work and cost estimates.
• Mentor and train junior engineering staff on best practices and standards.
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct regular assessments of existing electrical systems to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
• Professional engineering certification is advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on renewable energy systems
