As an Environmental Scientist in our Durban office, you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating environmental risks. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, developing environmental strategies, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute field studies and collect environmental data.
• Provide scientific guidance in the development of environmental policies.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations and public engagements.
• Prepare and submit compliance documentation to regulatory authorities.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental projects.
• Develop metrics to assess environmental performance.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement innovative solutions.
• Lead workshops and seminars on environmental awareness.
• Engage actively in research and development initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental science or sustainability roles
