We are seeking a qualified Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing projects related to environmental protection, compliance, and sustainability. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, conduct assessments, and develop innovative solutions that address environmental challenges while promoting sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess and report on the environmental status of various projects.
• Design and implement environmental monitoring programs.
• Conduct research on emerging environmental issues.
• Prepare technical and public reports on environmental findings.
• Support project teams in achieving sustainability goals.
• Advise on forestry and land use planning.
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
• Foster partnerships with NGOs and local communities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar field
• Postgraduate qualification is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental projects

• Environmental Software Tools

Certifications

• SACNASP Registered Scientist
• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
