Yachtsman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Yachtsman to join our team. The Yachtsman will be responsible for operating and maintaining yachts, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing excellent customer service to guests aboard. This role requires strong sailing skills, knowledge of yacht maintenance, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Navigate through various marine environments, ensuring guest safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of yacht systems.
• Educate guests about safety procedures and yacht operations.
• Oversee the daily operations of the yacht to ensure smooth sailing.
• Assist guests with water sports activities and other entertainment.
• Manage and coordinate with the onboard culinary team for guest meals.
• Handle logistics related to docking and departure.

Requirements

Education

• Valid Yacht Skipper License
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience

• Experience with luxury yacht charters is a plus.

Certifications

• GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) certification
