Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Actuary based in Pretoria to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial mathematics and statistical analysis, focusing on risk assessment and management within the insurance and finance sectors. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate financial risks and develop risk management solutions.
  • Create forecasts and analyses that support business decisions.
  • Conduct experience studies to refine assumptions and methodologies.
  • Participate in strategic business planning with management.
  • Prepare and review actuarial valuations and financial reports.
  • Utilize programming languages and statistical software for data analysis.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Fellowship or Associate membership with a recognized actuarial body is preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in actuarial roles
