Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects, ensuring all structural elements are safe and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative structural solutions for both commercial and residential projects.
  • Evaluate existing structures and provide recommendations for upgrades or repairs.
  • Prepare cost estimates and project timelines based on design specifications.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for drafting engineering plans.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with structural projects.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with zoning laws and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and contractors to ensure project satisfaction.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the field
