Job Description

Join our vibrant team as an Art Gallery Manager, where you will lead the development and execution of exhibitions that not only showcase local talent but also foster a deeper appreciation for the arts within the community. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, curating exhibitions, and engaging with artists and stakeholders to promote artistic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute gallery exhibitions, from inception to completion.
  • Supervise gallery staff and volunteer coordinators.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of exhibitions and programs.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with local and national arts organizations.
  • Manage the gallery's social media and online presence.
  • Organize fundraising events and community outreach programs.
  • Conduct guided tours and talk sessions for visitors.
  • Implement safety and security standards for artworks.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of artworks and exhibitions.
  • Gather and analyze visitor feedback to improve experiences.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Curatorial Studies or Art History
  • Master's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in art management or a curatorial role
