Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to oversee our diverse projects in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out as per the project plan, on time, and within budget. You will lead onsite teams, manage subcontractors, and liaise with clients to ensure their expectations are met.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders including clients, engineers, and architects.
• Conduct regular site evaluations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
• Develop and implement contingency plans for potential project delays.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among site teams.
• Review contracts and manage project finances.
• Mentor and train junior staff and project coordinators.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Construction Management is an advantage

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the construction industry

Certifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
