Fire Alarm Inspector

Job Description

The Fire Alarm Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and are compliant with all relevant codes and regulations. Candidates should be proactive in identifying issues and reporting them effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of fire alarm systems in various commercial and residential settings.
• Collaborate with the Fire Safety Manager to address safety and compliance issues.
• Document findings and prepare comprehensive reports on inspection outcomes.
• Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems.
• Engage with clients to communicate inspection results and recommend enhancements.
• Maintain inventory of inspection tools and ensure compliance with safety practices.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and safety updates.
• Implement corrective actions to address identified risks.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fire safety qualifications or relevant technical training

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in fire alarm systems and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Experience with various fire alarm systems
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting

Certifications

• Advanced Fire Safety Training

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in commercial or industrial fire systems: Experience working in an industrial setting, familiar with complex safety systems.
• Knowledge of advanced fire suppression systems: Understanding of fire suppression technologies and systems will be beneficial.
