Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in tax regulations, compliance, and preparing tax returns for both individual and corporate clients. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex tax situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of all tax returns.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits and liaise with the tax authorities.
• Provide excellent client service by answering tax-related questions and concerns.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on tax preparation outcomes.
• Consult with clients on strategic tax planning and forecasting.
• Participate in tax training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Honours in Taxation or similar qualification is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in tax services and consulting

Technical Skills

• VAT and Tax Returns
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Team Player

Certifications

• Tax Practitioner Registration with SAIT
• Additional certifications in tax law are beneficial

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in estate planning: Skill in advising clients on estate planning and wealth transfer issues.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools: Ability to use Excel and data visualization tools for financial reporting.
