Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for improving patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify prescriptions for safety and legality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medications and best practices.
  • Provide consultations for patients on medication therapy management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Manage inventory control and medication storage.
  • Facilitate training sessions for pharmacy assistants and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment
