Tax Consultant

Job Description

As a Tax Consultant in our Gqeberha office, you will play a key role in advising clients on a variety of tax matters. Your responsibilities will include analyzing financial information, preparing tax returns, and helping clients make informed decisions that optimize their tax situations. Responsibilities

• Mentor junior tax staff and less experienced members of the team.
• Conduct in-depth analysis for tax planning strategies.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss tax issues and strategies.
• Prepare and present reports on tax compliance status.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and apply them efficiently.
• Assist in training programs for staff on tax-related topics.
• Engage with tax authorities on behalf of clients as needed.
• Archive all tax-related documentation and correspondence.
• Develop an internal knowledge base of common tax issues.
• Ensure all client files are prepared and maintained in line with regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or LLB
• Postgraduate qualifications in taxation or finance preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax advisory roles
