Responsibilities

• Diagnose dental issues and develop effective treatment strategies.
• Perform teeth extractions and periodontal therapy.
• Manage and oversee dental hygienists to ensure optimal patient care.
• Implement patient safety and hygiene protocols in line with regulations.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Provide cosmetic dental procedures including teeth whitening and veneers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a dental practice
