Job Description

As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will assist clients in navigating our wide range of insurance products. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the sales team to achieve targets through exceptional customer service and proactive client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of various insurance products offered by the company.
  • Identify potential clients and generate leads through various channels such as referrals, networking, and cold calling.
  • Assess clients’ insurance needs and provide suitable recommendations.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients regarding policy updates, claims, and other inquiries.
  • Participate in community outreach and networking events to promote insurance services.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and promotional offers.
  • Assist management in developing sales strategies and reviewing sales performance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance overall client engagement.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in insurance or finance
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in insurance sales.
Technical Skills
  • CRM Software Proficiency
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly local South African languages: Enhanced communication with diverse client backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with insurance management software: Experience with using insurance management platforms to enhance efficiency.
